Pap smear and cervical cancer prevention
The Pap smear, and depending on age the HPV test, detects changes in the cells of the cervix before they cause problems. The type of test and how often it is done depend on your age and history, and your gynecologist sets them individually.
Colposcopy
If a Pap smear shows abnormalities, colposcopy lets the cervix be examined under magnification so the next steps can be decided.
Breast health
Breast examination is part of the check-up and helps assess whether further tests are needed.
Common reasons for consultation
Painful or irregular periods, discharge or discomfort, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome or fibroids are among the most common reasons for consultation.
