Contraception and family planning in Badalona
Choosing with information is choosing better.
There is no ideal contraceptive method for every woman. At Badagine we explain the options available and help you choose the one that best fits your health, age and plans.
Available methods
- Hormonal: pill, patch, vaginal ring or implant
- Intrauterine devices (IUD), hormonal or copper
- Barrier methods, such as condoms
- Natural methods and permanent methods
How the method is chosen
The decision takes into account medical history, tolerance, comfort, effectiveness and whether you want to become pregnant in the short or long term. It should be reviewed periodically, because needs change.
Emergency contraception
If you have had unprotected sex or your method has failed, emergency contraception exists, and it is more effective the sooner it is taken. Consult your gynecologist, your pharmacy or the emergency department.
Pregnancy planning
If you want to become pregnant, a preconception consultation helps prepare for pregnancy in advance. You can find more information on our pregnancy and obstetrics page.
